My paintings are born from a deep conversation with the land. I am drawn to places that hold silence, memory, and a kind of spiritual gravity—winter fields that breathe in stillness, desert mesas that hum with ancient light, flowers that open like small universes. These landscapes are not just subjects to me; they are companions, teachers, and mirrors.
The desert, especially, lives in my work. After standing in Abiquiú—where Georgia O’Keeffe carved out her own life of clarity and independence—I felt something shift. The wide sky, the bones bleached by sun, the way color becomes its own language… all of it continues to echo through my brush. I paint to honor that pull, that longing, that sense of belonging to a place even from afar.
I work slowly, in layers, letting each piece find its own breath. I return to recurring symbols—fences, paths, clouds, trees—because they mark thresholds between what is known and what is felt. My aim is not realism, but resonance. I want the viewer to feel the hush of snow, the heat rising off red earth, the quiet presence of a solitary tree, the wild gaze of an animal meeting your own.
Ultimately, my art is an invitation to pause. To listen. To remember the places that shaped you, the ones you long for, and the ones that live inside you. My hope is that each painting offers a moment of connection—to beauty, to memory, and to the landscapes that call us home.

Many things influence us as Artists. Here's a little video about the things that caused me to change the way I paint!

Kimberlee Habel‑Moeser —
Kimberlee Habel‑Moeser is a painter whose work is rooted in a deep sense of place, emotional resonance, and the transformative power of color. Born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she grew up surrounded by the region’s artistic heritage. She studied at Bucks County Community College, Moore College of Art & Design, and Berkley Graphic Design School before launching her first creative business, Hawk Graphics, in 1997. For more than two decades, she built a thriving career in graphic design and signage—an experience that sharpened her eye for composition, clarity, and visual storytelling.
Everything shifted in 2006 after a life‑changing trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Standing in the vast desert light, Kimberlee felt an unmistakable pull back to painting. She returned home, picked up her brushes, and immersed herself in workshops, art groups, and exhibitions. Oil painting came naturally, but it was color—bold, expressive, unapologetic color—that ultimately became her signature.
Early in her practice, Kimberlee focused on capturing detail and realism, striving to make each image “speak.” Over time, her work evolved into something more intuitive and energetic. Influenced by repeated journeys to the Southwest, she embraced a more graphic, movement‑driven style filled with saturated hues and emotional atmosphere. While she continues to accept commissions for detailed pieces, her heart belongs to the freer, more vibrant works that reflect her inner landscape.
In 2011, Kimberlee expanded her creative world by founding Hawk Painting, offering interior painting, design, and color consultation. This work kept her closely connected to contemporary design trends and further fueled her love of bold palettes and expressive surfaces. Versatility became one of her greatest strengths—whether she’s painting a canvas, a wall, a piece of furniture, or guiding clients through color decisions, she brings the same artistic sensitivity to every project.
Her creative journey has led to unexpected opportunities, including a winning appearance on HGTV’s Flea Market Flip, where her design instincts shone on national television. On any given day, Kimberlee might be working on an oil painting, teaching from her home studio, designing a mural, or transforming a piece of furniture into functional art. What remains constant is her devotion to creating.
During the pandemic, Kimberlee completed more than 100 oil paintings and launched her Instagram presence, where her work quickly resonated with fellow artists and collectors. Today, her paintings serve as love letters to the landscapes that shape her—especially the desert, a place she returns to in both memory and imagination.
Kimberlee continues to explore, evolve, and share her work with gratitude. She hopes her paintings offer viewers a moment of connection—to color, to emotion, and to the places that call to them.

My love for paint is a devotion that stretches across every medium I touch. I began my creative path as a Graphic Designer, and those early instincts—composition, rhythm, intention—now breathe quietly through my oil paintings. But oils are the ones that call to me. They are nothing like house paint or the finishes I brush across furniture
My love for paint is a devotion that stretches across every medium I touch. I began my creative path as a Graphic Designer, and those early instincts—composition, rhythm, intention—now breathe quietly through my oil paintings. But oils are the ones that call to me. They are nothing like house paint or the finishes I brush across furniture. They are soft, lush, and alive beneath my hands, opening a slow river where my thoughts can drift onto the canvas. And on that canvas, the inner world I carry—its colors, its memories, its quiet storms—finds a place to rise and take form.
If you want it even more lyrical, more mystical, or more rooted in the desert themes you love, I can shape it further.

My inspiration rises first from emotion. When something stirs me deeply, I feel compelled to translate that feeling into paint and offer it to others. Among all the places that have moved me, New Mexico remains my greatest muse. I’ve returned to the Land of Enchantment more than twenty times, drawn again and again to its endless horizons

Among all the places that have moved me, New Mexico remains my greatest muse. I’ve returned to the Land of Enchantment more than twenty times, drawn again and again to its endless horizons and that impossibly rich blue sky. Santa Fe’s art scene—alive with color, whimsy, and fearless expression—opened something in me. It was there that I found my true color voice. Before those journeys, my work was tight and detailed, bound by a precision that quietly constrained me. But the desert loosened my hand. Its light, its vastness, its spirit invited me to paint with brighter colors, with movement, with freedom. I return as often as I can, knowing the land will always offer me new breath, new vision, new fire..
